Hello, I'm a qualified DVSA ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) (Grade A).
With a wealth of over 30 years teaching & coaching experience from driving, sailing & other related water sports, I bring a broad range of techniques and empathy for your learning experience. I have a passion for safety, fun and learning which I bring to each lesson in the car.
I'm a family man, married to Rachael, with three boys, aged 5,8 & 11 years old who keep us on our toes 😀
Over the last 12 years as a self-employed ADI, I've developed an excellent reputation for quality instruction, the last 6 years of which I've been teaching automatic lessons in an electric car (EV).
You'll find me full of enthusiasm, knowledge and care for your learning experience. I can't wait to help you get on the road to develop safe driving for life skills.
Marcus Gainey

Hi, I’m Marcus and at 22, I qualified as a DVSA ADI. I’m enthusiastic about all things related to cars, riding and driving.
I pride myself on delivering the highest level of driving tuition, providing my students with all they need to become safe drivers for life. Over the past few years, I've been specialising in teaching automatic lessons in an electric vehicle.
Safe driving for life is one of the reasons I joined the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), passing both car and motorcycle tests - so I'm well equipped to help you develop into an excellent driver.
Outside work, I enjoy spending my spare time coaching motorcyclists to advanced rider standard.
With a proven track record of success and the determination to help you pass, I'm looking forward to helping you on your learning journey.
Stephen Sillitoe
KIA Niro - EV
I qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) 16 years ago. I teach automatic lessons in a state-of-the-art electric vehicle a Kia Niro EV - the best vehicle I’ve ever driven. It has zero emissions, is smooth and so easy to control.
I live with my wife Meri and our 3 children, aged 9 months, 4 & 8. In our spare time we enjoy walking through local woods and spotting wildlife.
My most recent Standards Assessment was scored with a Grade A, the highest possible award by the DVSA, building my reputation as a professional, polite, patient and thorough ADI.
I'm also the owner/designer of
the beautifully illustrated learning to drive companion available to buy now.

Chris Veall

Hi, I am Chris and qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) recently, so I've freshly acquired skills and a passion for teaching.
I am married with three children, and in my spare time enjoy playing in 8 Ball Pool 🎱 tournaments where I compete (and win occasionally 😀)
I love playing the piano and relaxing taking holidays in the USA & Isles of Scilly when I get some down time.
I’m a passionate advocate for road safety, so I’ll teach you to drive safely for life with high standards combining my experience with motorcycling and two decades of driving to enable you to pass your driving test with excellent skills and with confidence in your driving ability..
Our Evolution
- 2006 Onwards - Stephen Qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor 🚙
- 2011 Onwards - Stuart Qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. DVSA Awarded him a Grade A & won a prestigious national award of 🥇"Top Driving Instructor" with Red Driving School in 2014.
- 2016 - GOES GREEN First Electric Vehicle the Renault ZOE, followed by class-leading Hyundai Kona Electric (EV). Marcus Qualified as DVSA Approved Driving Instructor
- 2021- Marcus, Stuart & Stephen develop the concept of Positive Evolution Driving School - Automatic & Electric Vehicles - Safe Driving for LIFE 🏁
- April 2022 - Positive Driving School merged with Evolution Automatic, while Stephen Joined to become Positive Evolution. 3 Instructors, 3 EVs, 3 Choices
- March 2024 - Positive Evolution grows with the addition of Chris Veall. And now we are FOUR 😀
